FROM FEAR TO TRUST: How the decisions you make every day shape the workforce you have

One in three employees don't trust their employer. One in three lives with layoff anxiety. Twelve billion working days are lost every year to anxiety and depression. Employee engagement has just hit a ten-year low.

We are living through a Permacrisis — an extended period of instability that isn't going away. And inside that permacrisis, fear has become the defining experience of work for millions of people.

But here is the good news: fear isn't inevitable. It's the product of broken environments — and broken environments can be fixed.

This session introduces a practical framework for turning fear into trust — and makes the case that in a Permacrisis world, how people feel at work isn't a footnote to business performance. It's the foundation of it.

Jonathan will be joined by Steffen Henke, formerly Head of Digital, Employee & Live Communications at DHL Group — where he oversaw internal communications for 600,000 employees across the globe. Steffen will bring the practitioner's perspective to the conversation: what this actually looks like inside a complex, large-scale organisation, and what employee experience professionals can take back and use on Monday morning.

Leading with trust: Why your AI strategy starts with your frontline

AI adoption lives or dies on a single factor: Trust. While enterprises rush to deploy AI, many are failing the "last mile". Creating a trust gap that fuels confusion and concern, especially among frontline teams. We will explore why clear and durable communication is the only way to turn AI uncertainty into a competitive advantage.

When "almost right" isn't good enough: How AI is really received by employees

"Almost right" isn't good enough in the day-to-day workplace. AI only truly makes an impact when employees trust it. Martin Böhringer shows how Staffbase bridges this exact gap: with Employee AI based on company knowledge, clear governance, and an approach that works for all employees.

Inside the Winning Team

In today’s fast-moving world, the teams that thrive are the ones that are connected, psychologically safe, and built for trust, performance, and well-being. In this engaging keynote on teamwork and resilience, Roberto draws on three decades of experience with Olympic athletes, Premier League football teams, and global organisations to share the principles behind elite-level teamwork.

How did West Ham transform a 23% point return into 78% in a single season? How did Team Murray propel Andy Murray to world number one? And how did Derek Chisora use team-building psychology to prepare for the World Heavyweight Championship?

Roberto answers these questions through compelling stories and practical, evidence-based frameworks your team can use immediately.
